Part 1 of my contest entry to
 Part 2 is >>here<< I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed that I'm working so hard on this entry for the contest. xD; At the beginning of the month I thought 'what the heck' and started brainstorming. Problem is, I don't like most movies so I couldn't really think of anything I wanted to draw (Titanic and Charly and the Chocolate Factory were two things I wanted to do, but decided against because I thought for sure someone else would do them). Then my sister reminded me how much I love the Little Mermaid and at that very moment I felt a jolt of inspiration flow through me. Ever since I was a little kid I adored that movie! My mother was religious so anything to do with mermaids was not allowed in the house, so my grandmother kept a copy at her house for me. *-* Every time I went over there she's make me my favorite Sharks pasta, grape juice, and put on the Little Mermaid. Such wonderful, happy memories. I still love this movie, and always will. Haha, and so I've been working on this comic for the past month. I have to say it has been THE most enjoyable project I've done. Ever. I recently realized how well I do with comedy so obviously chose to do something funny, and as I started deciding who would play what roles (L as arial, Mello and Sebastien, etc.) I started to realize how WELL the death note characters suited each part! xD It's almost freaky.
